colin ridett trophy - shanklin a v bembridge a

What a way to conclude the season. Another day another cup.

Shanklin BC were once again represented in a final with the ‘A’ team competing against Bembridge ‘A’ in the Colin Ridett Memorial Trophy.

The Colin Ridett Memorial Trophy is played in memory of long standing past member, Colin Ridett, brother of Ray Ridett. Colin was a past County President, Club President, Club Captain and a stalwart in all club activities taking the club forward.

The final consists of, Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours with Shanklin ‘A’ winning all four disciplines to cap off another successful season.

Thanks must go to the supporters of both clubs, the green keeper for providing an excellent playing surface, the umpires and markers and to all the volunteers for providing refreshments and making the afternoon so enjoyable.

Leamington Spa

This was our A Team Men before there match at Leamington, which they won the quarter final but, unfortunately they lost by 1 shot in the Semi-Final against Silkworth from Durham.

A tremendous effort and well deserved by all who took part here and at home in the previous rounds.

Look forward to next year…
